Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project costs for interior design and fit-out projects, including budgeting and cost planning.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, tenders, and oversee project expenditure tracking.
  • Implement effective cost control measures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises while maintaining design intent and quality standards.
  • Identify cost and financial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure materials, workmanship, and project deliverables meet required quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior QS team members (for Manager level).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant quantity surveying experience, preferably in interior design or fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, contracts, and cost management practices.
  • Proficient in cost estimation and project management software.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Professional certification (e.g. MRICS) is an advantage.
