About the role

We are seeking a driven and skilled Legal Officer to join our dynamic team at PT Smailing Tours & Travel Service' in Central Jakarta, Jakarta. As our Legal Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's legal compliance and supporting the development of our business initiatives. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing comprehensive legal services to the company, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation
  2. Advising on regulatory and compliance matters to ensure the company operates within the applicable laws and regulations
  3. Assisting with the implementation of the company's strategic initiatives, including investments and new business opportunities
  4. Drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documents
  5. Supporting the company's legal risk management processes
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide timely and practical legal guidance
  7. Continuously staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the tourism or travel industry
  2. Strong understanding of commercial law, contract management, and regulatory compliance
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  5. Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work
  6. Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
