About Aquarev:

Aquarev is a venture-backed social enterprise created by The Meloy Fund to renovate, revitalize, and revolve credit for up to 75,000 poorly performing smallholder shrimp farms in Indonesia. Via a proprietary agtech+fintech platform, farmers receive financial support for best-practice renovation and climate-smart intensification of their shrimp ponds, and are provided hands-on support and guidance at the farm level to optimize the day-to-day cultivation process.

Aquarev is now launching its growth phase, bringing in more than US$4 million in investment to scale up its reach to 300 farmers and to implement a series of new sustainability initiatives. Aquarev seeks a dynamic, creative, and high-integrity management team to drive the growth of this innovative new company forward, ultimately to reach thousands of small-scale farmers in Indonesia and beyond.

About the Role:

Construction & Asset Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing multi-site construction projects and ensuring the operational readiness of critical farm assets. This role manages end-to-end construction planning, asset maintenance programs, technical supervision, vendor coordination, and compliance with internal standards. This position will lead a field-based technical team, drive maintenance strategies, and ensure all construction and asset-related activities meet quality, safety, and efficiency targets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead construction planning and supervision, including timeline, risk management, QA/QC, technical validation (RAB, material specs, volume), and on-site decision-making for any deviations.
  • Provide technical recommendations, approve field execution, and coordinate cross-functionally with operation, business development, and finance to ensure project alignment.
  • Develop and oversee schedules of maintenance (Preventive, corrective, predictive, and breakdown), monitor critical farm assets, set repair priorities, and estimate spare parts, tools, and manpower needs.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and provide technical guidance to technicians to ensure effective and sustainable repairs.
  • Supervise and develop on-site technical teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, ensure work follows SOPs and safety standards, and maintain compliance with internal regulations.
  • Manage vendors, including performance evaluation, work clarification, SLA control, and progress approvals and provide regular project progress reports to management.
  • Validate work progress and prepare construction/maintenance needs analysis based on field data, including review and approval of required documentation.
  • Utilize digital tools (excel, spreadsheet) to manage and monitor budgets, timelines, and man-hours for effective administrative control

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Fisheries Infrastructure, or related field.
  • 6–8 years
    of experience in construction and maintenance, including
    3 years in supervisory or team lead
    roles.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site, multi-vendor projects.
  • Hands-on experience managing operational asset maintenance (pumps, electrical panels, blowers, HDPE piping).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fast and accurate decision-making with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and focused on efficiency and quality in dynamic field conditions.
