About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor of Interior to join our team at China Construction Shenzhen Decoration Co., ltd' in Jakarta. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of our interior design projects, from budgeting and cost control to procurement and contract management.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and variation orders based on design, shop drawings, and project specifications.
  • Analyse and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure accurate cost planning.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Monitor and control project costs, track variances, and implement effective cost-control measures to keep projects within budget.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure alignment of materials, schedules, and cost targets.
  • Provide regular cost reports, forecasts, and updates to project managers and clients; assist in tender submissions and contract administration.
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities while maintaining compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and company policies.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the interior design or construction industry
  • Proficient in using construction cost estimation software and spreadsheet applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards related to interior design and construction
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Can speak and understand English to communicate effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus for coordination with certain suppliers and partners.
