Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager to expand our brand supply network. The ideal candidate is a strong negotiator with deep connections in the brand and distributor ecosystem, capable of sourcing discounted or liquidation stock from well-known brands targeting the B-to-C mass market.

What Will You Do
  • Identify and secure supply deals from brands, distributors, and wholesalers across multiple product categories (FMCG, personal care, home living, fashion, mom&baby, toys etc.).
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and volume deals to achieve strong margin and turnover.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with brand owners and authorized distributors.
  • Proactively source discounted, clearance, or overstock items aligned with DiscountMax's retail positioning.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Work closely with merchandising, operation, and finance teams to ensure smooth deal execution.
  • Contribute to supply-side strategy and category expansion initiatives.
What Are the Requirements
  • Have 3–6 years experience in Business Development, Key Account, or Procurement roles in retail, trading, or distribution sectors.
  • Experience working with discount retail, e-commerce, or offline multi-brand retailers.
  • Understanding of stock liquidation, channel conflict, and expiry management.
  • Existing contacts with brands targeting middle to mass market consumers.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and closing deals with brands or distributors.
  • Strong network in brand, distributor, and importer channels (especially for consumer goods, lifestyle products or home living).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, and target-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile retail environment.
  • Have good knowledge in margin calculation & MS Excel
