Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Casual Store Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of the store, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience. As a Casual Store Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks, including assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.

  • Provide product information and answer customer inquiries.

  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.

  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Inventory Management:

  • Receive, unpack, and label merchandise shipments.

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels on the sales floor.

  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.

  • Ensure all products are correctly priced and displayed.

Store Maintenance :

  • Ensure the store is clean, organised, and well-maintained.

  • Arrange displays and promotional materials to enhance the shopping experience.

  • Restock shelves and arrange products in an orderly manner.

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.

Operational Support:

  • Assist with deliveries and stock processing.

  • Support stock counts and inventory accuracy.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is essential.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

  • Punctuality and reliability.

  • Physical stamina for tasks such as lifting and restocking.

  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
