Position Summary

The Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing all pastry and bakery operations onboard, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency. This role requires strong leadership, advanced pastry skills, and the ability to manage an international team in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the culinary field within 5-star hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or luxury cruise lines.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
• Advanced pastry and bakery skills, with knowledge of the latest culinary trends.
• Strong leadership, communication, and administrative abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop subordinates.
• Strong decision-making, cost control, and quality management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic shipboard schedules.
• Comfortable working within a diverse, multicultural team.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

• High school diploma or international equivalent required.
• Completion of a 3-year apprenticeship for professional chefs or a Bachelor's degree in Pastry or Culinary Arts.
• Valid USPH or HACCP certification.
