The Role:

Position Summary

The Legal Analyst (Global) supports the company's worldwide legal operations by conducting legal research, analyzing international regulatory requirements, managing cross-border contracts, and assisting with corporate governance processes. This role ensures the company's activities align with global laws, compliance standards, and internal policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Regulatory Analysis

  • Conduct research on international laws, regulations, and policies impacting the company's global operations (e.g., corporate, privacy, employment, trade, anti-corruption).
  • Monitor upcoming legislative changes across key markets and prepare briefing notes.
  • Analyze risks associated with new markets, global expansion, or regulatory developments.

2. Contract & Transaction Support

  • Review, summarize, and track commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, licensing agreements, vendor agreements, and cross-border contracts.
  • Assist in contract drafting and redlining under the supervision of counsel.
  • Maintain and update contract management systems and global templates.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support global compliance programs (anti-bribery, sanctions, GDPR/privacy, ESG, trade compliance).
  • Monitor compliance data, identify gaps, and propose process improvements.
  • Assist with due diligence on partners, vendors, distributors, and M&A transactions.

4. Corporate Governance

  • Support global subsidiary management activities (entity formation, board resolutions, annual filings).
  • Assist with maintaining legal records, policies, global compliance frameworks, and internal documentation.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (HR, Finance, Procurement, Security, Commercial, Operations) on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Help coordinate with external counsel across multiple countries.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare legal memos, risk assessments, executive reports, and status summaries.
  • Maintain internal dashboards and trackers for legal and compliance matters.

Ideal Profile:

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or related field.
  • 2.5 – 5 years' experience as a legal analyst, paralegal, legal assistant, compliance analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, contracts, and international legal frameworks.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience working with contract management or compliance tools.
  • Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Master's degree or legal certification (JD, LLB, LLM, Paralegal Certificate).
  • Experience in a multinational corporation or cross-border legal environment.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, FCPA, trade compliance, or other global regulatory regimes.
  • Multilingual abilities.
