Forvis Mazars in Indonesia is looking for a Chief Accountant to be seconded to our client office for 12 months.

Key responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PSAK/IFRS.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee all general ledger functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions across all accounting areas.
  • Monitor and maintain effective internal control systems and policies.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and key financial documentation.

Management Support

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial and operational reports for management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced multinational environment is highly preferred.
  • External auditor experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/PSAK).
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
