Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in mining operations, with significant exposure in gold production, international and national experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in managing large-scale mining projects, including open pit operations and gold processing plants.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Heap Leach and CIL technology and its application in gold processing plants.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the construction of processing plants and open pit mines, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Manage all aspects of Heap Leaching and CIL plant operations, including commissioning, production, and optimization.
  • Provide strategic direction to the operations team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Implement best practices in mining and processing operations to optimize productivity and maintain low operational costs.
  • Lead the organization in meeting environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  • Develop and execute operational team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and industry events.
