Sales Director

Archipelago International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Sales to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales revenue and achieving business objectives.

1. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Set objectives for sales personnel and assist them in identifying and developing marketing tools to achieve these objectives.
2. Solicit Business: Solicit business for the hotel to achieve room-night and revenue targets.
3. Plan and Execute Sales Calls: Plan sales calls to key markets for sales personnel, then submit reports on the outcome of these calls, revenue projections, and follow-up activities to achieve targets.
4. Monitor Market Conditions: Monitor and submit regular and concise reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing on changing market conditions, trends, and competitors' current and planned activities and how these impact the hotel.
5. Lead and Motivate Sales Team: Manage, evaluate, and constantly motivate Sales Managers to achieve sales revenue targets.
6. Ensure Professional Site Inspections: Ensure all site inspections / familiarizations are conducted professionally and efficiently.
7. Coordinate Sales Calls and Promotions: Ensure sales calls, telephone solicitations, and direct mail programs are completed professionally and on schedule.
8. Organize Trade Shows and Promotions: Organize and report outcome of participation in trade shows and promotions.
9. Forward Guest Suggestions: Forward guest, client, or general public suggestions for hotel improvement to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Maintain files on these suggestions.
10. Generate Production Reports: Responsible for the timely generation of production reports on all accounts.
11. Ensure Rate Structures: Ensure that rate structures are accurately observed and that no changes occur without the express approval of the Director of Sales & Marketing and the General Manager.
12. Represent the Director of Sales & Marketing: Represent the Director of Sales & Marketing when required.
13. Complete Other Tasks: Complete other tasks that may be assigned by Management.

1. Education: Min. Diploma Degree
2. Experience: Experienced in similar position for min. 2 years
3. Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills
4. Leadership: Strong Leadership
5. Performance: Able to maintain a high level of performance
6. Segment Familiarity: Familiar with Corporate or Government Segment
