Technical Manager is accountable for management of all the technical management activities defined in customer contract in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance and care phase. Acts as primary technical interface and first technical escalation point within the assigned customer projects in Oceania.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads and is responsible for all technical deliverables for the customer.
- Ensures the correctness and completeness of the solution from e2e requirements of the overall solution delivery feasibility (including device IOT and MVI) and the customer architecture to prevent delays and risks during delivery. For this, the TM will engage with the sales team in the solutioning phase before handover to delivery.
- If MN is the lead BG in a multi-BG delivery, the Technical Manager will act as the e2e Technical Manager co-ordinating closely with other BGs (for topics such as, but not limited to compatibility and interoperability, technical/project interdependence, feature availability interdependence etc.) to prevent any risks on the MN deliverables and/or customer satisfaction
- Maintains and validates the High-Level Design, Low Level Detailed Design for the customer network e2e architecture and approves the related documentation. This would be maintained throughout the complete life-cycle of the customer relationship reflecting the topology and architectural changes with the network evolution
- Manages a technical team of SMEs across design, testing and acceptance and ensure relevant standards are adhered to.
- Senior escalation point for all technical issues for both customer and internal
- Overall accountable for the technical team governance, capability, allocation and performance
- Ensure resources are skilled adequately and identify gaps and escalate if required.
- Ensure Quality of technical deliverables to the customer
- Manage stakeholder communications, issues and risks (internally and externally)
- Strong and effective collaboration across local, regional and global stakeholders to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
- Ensures health and safety standards are upheld and any incident no matter how minor is reported per Nokia process
- Performs a Technical Risk Analysis and plans/implements risk mitigation actions. Ensures project schedule is realistic and all technical constraints and risks are managed and mitigated
- Owns the configuration management and fault management in the network.
- Helps identify new technical management related opportunities to expand contracts with the customer (e.g. network expansion, new features, software corrections implementations).
- Manages NPI (New Product Introduction), feature(s) introduction and trials

**Key Requirements for the Role**
**Skills & Competencies**
- Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications or related field
- Has good e2e technical knowledge across entire solution in a 4G/5G environment, including functionality, signalling, interfaces and operational procedures.
- Highly competent in managing e2e technical team across all phases of deployment, including design, systems integration, testing and optimization across Core, System Integration, RAN domains
- Extensive experience in producing the highest degree of quality for all customer deliverables, including design, test and acceptance.
- Strong leadership skills to create a culture of high performance across local and remote teams
- Experienced in e2e deployment activities including design, commissioning, integration, testing, optimization.
- Excellent customer stakeholder management at technical and project level and effective communication and presentation skills
- Able to drive diverse team according to the right priorities.
- Creates and maintains a culture of delivery excellence, and build trust and openness
- Flexible to travel (up to 25%) depending on business needs
**Experience**
- 12+ years of experience in telecommunication industry including experience in 4G, 5G and preferred cloud architecture experience
- 8+ years as technical SME in either radio or core, but with rich experience across all domains including multivendor network integration
