Account Manager

The role of the Account Manager is to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager operates as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to their assigned accounts. Their job is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new growth opportunities.
**What does an Account Manager do?**
In this role, the Account Manager will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including sales, IT, operations and project management) to improve the entire customer experience. The Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers.
Ultimately, a successful Account Manager should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run. This position may require occasional travel.
The Account Manager reports directly to the Global Director of Accounts.
**Responsibilities**
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Prepare reports on account status
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
- Gathering information on assigned clients (e.g. company size, needs and pricing plans) and work on a growth plan
- Work with the client to determine and track their measures of success
- Ensure prompt and accurate answers to clients’ queries
- Suggest company products/services that maximize client satisfaction
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
- Oversee the day-to-day operations team assigned to handling the orders associated with the accounts
- Promote new products/services to existing customers
- Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Participate in account management meetings and training sessions
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience with an extensive knowledge base of the services, products, and tools we offer (3+ years experience)
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience
- High degree of professionalism
- Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learner and ability to adapt to changes
