Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for Field Inspectors to join our team based in locations across Indonesia, including Jakarta, Surabaya, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Banjarbaru, Kapuas, Palembang, Morosi, and Bahodopi. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

**Essential**
- Thorough understanding of sampling techniques for mining commodities such as coal, metals, and minerals, as well as proficiency in field inspection methodologies.
- Knowledge of draught surveys, weighbridge operations, and other methods for determining material quantity during field operations is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of marine operations, cargo stuffing, tallying, and ship loading/unloading processes to ensure accurate material handling and documentation.
- Proficiency in accurately documenting field observations, and inspection results, and preparing comprehensive reports (daily and final), adhering to standard formats.
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and risk management in field operations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
- Familiarity with international and local standards such as ISO 17020 (inspection bodies) and ISO 17025 (laboratory competence), as well as relevant ASTM, ISO, and industry-specific standards for sampling and inspection.
- Knowing and experience for one commodity (Coal/Metal/Mineral) is acceptable, but experience across all commodities is preferred.

**Required Competencies**
- Ability to identify issues in the field, such as abnormalities in cargo handling, and implement effective solutions while maintaining operational flow.
- Strong communication skills for effectively managing on-site communication, coordinating with teams, and ensuring clear reporting to clients and supervisors.
- Capable of adjusting to changing field conditions and operational challenges, maintaining professionalism and accuracy in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, guiding on-field activities and ensuring everyone follows established procedures.

**Required Work Experience**
- Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in field inspection or mining operations, with exposure to multiple mining commodities (coal, metals, minerals) highly desirable.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum high school/vocational education majoring in technician, or closely related field.
- Certification or formal training in AISI is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with good analytical skills are welcome to apply.

**Travel / Rotation Requirements**
- Travel as required both domestically and internationally.
