Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction for all financial aspects of national resource development (NRD) team operations that focuses on the local income fundraising, particularly related to the business of Public Acquisition and Philanthropy as World Vision Indonesia (WVI) operates the function of fundraising Support Office (SO).
Provide support and guide the NRD finance team to contribute towards achieving organizational strategic targets/goals.
Provide expertise and support on the financial, accounting and cash management to promote stewardship, accountability, reliability and accuracy of financial process, report and analysis.
Strategy Development & Planning
- Support the development of national level long range financial budget plans and strategies as part of the Country Strategy and monitor its progress through regular reporting process
- Support the development of an overall financial strategy for the local income fundraising
- Support the conduct of annual organizational planning and budgeting process
- Develop team’s annual plans and budgets in line with organization goals and objectives
- Establish and communicate financial and accounting policies, controls, systems and procedures with proper internal controls to support local fundraising activities and initiatives, ensuring compliance to financial requirements and effective communication to stakeholders
Resource Acquisition & Management/ Engagement
- Provide technical advice on finance and budgeting process to support the achievement of target of fundraising income
- Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to project donation revenue of assigned payment gateway.
- Collaborate closely with other finance unit for project implementation funded by donation locally-fundraised to ensure any coding/recording requirement for proper financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Stay informed and share learnings about industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in fundraising and donation finance
Capacity Building/ Technical works
- Conduct capacity building plan and talent management strategy for NRD finance team to enhance their technical and non-technical skills to support higher performance and career path
- Facilitate non-finance staff in using the corporate system and understanding the financial information, data and reports produced by the NRD finance team
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with RDC team, providing support and sound advice on financial aspect of local fundraising activities and initiatives.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
- Manage effective finance and accounting operations on donation processing ensuring compliance and efficient collection process. Works with RDC team to ensure that pledge collection is integrated with all marketing campaigns
- Conduct preparation and review of Fundraising/NRD budget. Proactively seek insights on the method of financial plan and budgeting. Support in monitoring the funding commitment for fundraising activities of Public Acquisition and Philanthropy
- Lead the financial data management, reporting and analytics and become the strategic business partner who is responsive to organisational needs. Analyse the data & information and provide insights to key stakeholders to improve decision making
- Monitor financial performance of local fundraising activities. Provide regular financial performance reports with emphasis on analyzing performance against local fundraising operational and business plan. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess the performance of marketing campaigns, initiatives, and promotions.
- Develop and run reports on the status of all collection on a monthly basis and review with RDC team so that appropriate actions can be initiated
- Utilise technology to enable agile planning, streamline processes and boost operational effectiveness across the WVI and provide feedback and recommendation on system improvement
- Conduct regular review and update of policies, enhancement of systems to simplify business process and meet the needs of ministry in cost effective manner
- Work closely with RDC team and other finance team to establish policies, procedures, business processes and systems as applicable
