Bookkeeper - Accountant

Position Overview

**RecruitGo **is in search of a Bookkeeper - Accountant who will be working with our client based in Singapore. Our client specializes in innovative solutions across various digital platforms, working with venture capitalists and startups alike.

Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone who has detail-oriented mindset, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication skills.

**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced remote bookkeeper based in Bali to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of multiple startup and small business clients across various industries. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while providing essential financial support to growing businesses.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, Dext Prepare, etc.).
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
- Prepare monthly (withholding) tax and social contributions reporting for filing with relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with clients' tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Implement and maintain efficient bookkeeping processes tailored to each client's needs.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
- Find innovative ways to streamline and enhance financial reporting and compliance processes.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for clients.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with startups or small businesses.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with Xero and Dext Prepare, or similar cloud-based accounting software. MS Office obviously.
- Strong organizational and ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously. Detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills. English is a must.
- Optional: Basic understanding of financial processes and consolidation tools like FathomHQ.
- Familiarity with international tax regulations and multi-currency transactions is a plus.
- Certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper or Xero Certification are advantageous.
