About the role
A critical role for AIG Indonesia, representing and leading our business in Indonesia Territory.
Responsible for all production and profitability results relevant to AIG Indonesia business including expenses, underwriting guidelines, marketing and service standards.
Achieving target and budget goals across all defined metrics, through clear business plans and working in collaboration with the broader CBE team and Profit Centre Managers.
Accountable for the overall leadership and coordination of staff within the Company, ensuring synergistic and collaborative efforts in developing and executing the local “go to market” strategy. Encompassing the broader AIG Indonesia strategy, product line plans for profitable growth and retention and agreed country’s partner strategic plans
Ensure the establishment, implementation and execution of marketing plans, driving structured pipeline activity, whilst leading the team to develop and expand our broker and client relationships, within the country.
Understand the country economic landscape and local market conditions, to strategically lead and pivot the business, with a focus on targeted profitable growth.
Managing and ensuring corporate governance and adherence to global, regional and local regulatory requirements in the way of operating the business
Develop strategic relationship and effectively manage the relationship with local regulator
Involvement & participation in industry advocates / association, US Chamber of Commerce, US-Asean Business Council, etc and community to make greater impact for the franchise as well as the country
Monitor, evaluate, and manage operations and results to ensure client service standards are met and results are achieved on time and within budget.
Individual account management for key accounts; acting as the senior relationship manager with major customers and with the senior leadership of our key brokers. Working with the broader AIG team, identify new and develop existing client and partner relationships.
Active participation within the community to enhance profitable growth, diversity and positive awareness of the AIG brand.
Will be responsible for assisting with the staffing management and talent acquisition, talent development and retention of key /critical talents
**What you’ll need to succeed**:
Strong insurance industry experience, including frontline underwriting or broking
Strong individual presence in the industry with extensive network in the local market and proven experience in effectively manage the relationship with regulator
Demonstrable strategic planning, execution and organisational leadership capability
Ability to manage the operation of the Company within a matrix management structure
Excellent communication & influence capabilities
Marketing management skills preferred however not essential
