Job Description Summary:
The Project Management Officer (PMO) plays a pivotal role in the Group Sustainability & Communications Division, ensuring the successful delivery of corporate goals and KPIs for strategic sustainability programs. This early-career role focuses on coordinating field-level program implementation, support for managing project finances and administration, and fostering collaboration within the division and across business and functional units of GAR/Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food.
As part of the Sustainability Support Team in Jakarta, the PMO provides critical support to sustainability leaders, directors, and senior executives. Key responsibilities include executing multi-department and -divisional projects such as Community Economic Empowerment, Social Assessments, or Nature and Biodiversity, handling administrative duties, preparing presentations, scheduling meetings, and leading discussions on behalf of the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSCO).
This role demands excellent planning, time management, critical thinking, and presentation skills, alongside proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English to engage diverse stakeholders. Reporting functionally to sustainability directors and administratively to the CSCO, the PMO is essential for driving seamless project execution, meeting deadlines, and achieving impactful sustainability outcomes. Job Description:
Program Coordination and Oversight- Track and monitor the performance of divisional teams against corporate sustainability goal and KPIs to ensure the timely delivery of project objectives, and escalation leadership if projects are off track financially or in terms of objective achievement.- Facilitate the execution of field-level sustainability programs, sustainability budget, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.- Support teams in adhering to timelines, deliverables, and quality benchmarks for key projects.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration- Serve as the primary point of coordination between the Group Sustainability Division and other business units (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, Procurement) and external service providers/vendors.- Assist in organizing multi-stakeholder meetings, including preparation of materials and follow-up on action points.- Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners, such as NGOs, government bodies, and local communities.
Project Management and Reporting- Provide project management support for cross-divisional initiatives, including coordinating administration and financial project tracking and documentation.- Develop presentations, reports, and briefings for key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact.- Evaluate project execution and identify risks, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement in project execution.
Administrative and Analytical Support- Assist with budgeting and target-setting processes within the division.- Prepare analytical insights, papers, and talking points for senior leadership.- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project progress, milestones, and challenges.
Ad Hoc and Strategic Contributions- Support emerging needs and special projects as assigned by the Directors or CSCO.- Contribute to the development of innovative processes to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
