**About the Volunteer Opportunity**

As a Research and Data Collection Volunteer, your role would be to regularly go through sources of information to identify investments that are happening in the UK technology industry. These sources of information could be, news websites, investor portfolios, blogs, etc. You will have to then capture the information regarding the investment (ex: investment amount, investors, company location) and enter it into a spreadsheet. It will be important to stay up-to-date on the UK technology investment landscape and consistently find new sources of information where you can collect information from.
- NOTE: This role is not related to Data Analytics. It is more to do with researching and capturing data._

**Duration**
- 3 months
- At least 2 hours per day
- Part-time
- Remote

**Volunteer Activities**

Working with our CEO and Deal Collection and Publication Lead, your volunteer role includes:

- Consistently scout news websites, investor portfolios, blogs, newsletters to identify investments in the UK technology industry.
- Identify and capture data such as the company name, investment amount, investors, etc.
- Enter this data onto a Google spreadsheet.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent Record Keeping

**Acquired Experience and Skills**

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience towards a research/data entry related role and significantly improve your understanding of the technology industry in the UK. You would also have the option to move to the Data Entry, Data Audit or Data Enrichment teams later by extending your volunteer term.

Potential skills you might develop as a result of this opportunity:
