Overview:

As a Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the financial health of an organization. You need to ensure robust internal controls and finance processes are in place in adherence to company policies, accurate and timely financial reporting, perform reliable data analysis, and advise senior management on profit-maximizing ideas to ensure long-term success. Daily financial activities review and provide advice to upper management on any risks that could negatively affect business performance and suggestions for future financial plans. The goal is to enable the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company's objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the Company's finance and accounting department.
  • Prepare and carry out planning related to the finance department, ensuring all required projects and finance deliverables meet established deadlines.
  • Preparation and oversee the monthly account closing, management accounts, finance operations (AP, AR, GL), budgeting, and reforecasting activities.
  • Support the Operations/Collection team in carrying out monthly operational reviews.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvement.
  • Prepare analysis for the Operational/Collection team as required.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Clarify with respective departmental manager if they have exceeded the set budget.
  • Audits and compliance.
  • Improve and drive working capital health including AP and AR aging in line with financial KPI.
  • Oversee, optimize, and manage monthly liquidity, cash flow forecast, cash position, and various payment obligations including loan repayment and interest payment, in line with company policies and KPI.
  • All tax-related compliance.
  • Prepare reports as required by law, applicable regulations, and company policies.
  • Comply with applicable laws, company policies, and procedures.
  • Direct report to Group CFO, dotted line to country MD.
  • Achieving KPIs and goals prepared and approved by Group CFO.
  • Other ad-hoc work as requested by Group CFO and MD.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or qualified CPA or ACCA membership.
  • Have at least 5-year external audit experience with Big 4 or mid-tier audit firms.
  • Have at least 5-year experience as Finance Manager.
  • Experience in the financial sector is preferable.
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  • Proficient user of finance software such as Netsuite.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage, guide, and lead Finance team members to ensure appropriate financial processes are being followed and finance deadlines are met.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Proficient in English written and verbal.
