Role Description The Project Engineer role at Feen Marine is a full-time, on-site position based in Batam. The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects related to inert gas and exhaust gas cleaning systems, from design review through installation and commissioning. Daily tasks include preparing technical documentation, supporting detailed project schedules, coordinating with internal teams and shipyards, and monitoring progress to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role involves reviewing electrical and mechanical drawings, participating in design meetings, resolving technical issues on site, and providing technical support during sea trials and after-sales service. The Project Engineer will also collaborate closely with suppliers and customers to align project requirements, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, with experience in marine or industrial systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Project Planning skills to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, shipyards, suppliers, and customers.
• Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Marine) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Candidates should have practical experience with installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting of shipboard systems; experience with inert gas or exhaust gas cleaning systems is an advantage.
• Candidates should be familiar with marine industry standards and safety regulations and be able to work on-site, including onboard vessels and in shipyards.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; additional language skills relevant to the region are beneficial.
