As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of large (more than 20MUSD) and complex projects and ensures that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments Reporting to Project Management Group Leader oversee for supporting the Local Division and Operations Managers in overseeing team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Leading the project team, establishes the project execution approach, and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
- Coaching and providing performance feedback for project staff.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of policies and work instructions by adopting external “best practices” and findings from lessons learned.
- Leading project reviews for other large projects and Organizational Project Management (OPM) reviews/assessments and conducts competency assessments for the project execution teams on behalf of the Local Division.
- Actively seeks both internal improvement opportunities and external project management practices with relevance to ABB and influences the organization to continuously improve project execution.
- Actively participates in and contributes to internal and external expert groups, e.g., project management councils and other forums.
- Leading project recovery efforts, i.e. the rapid assessment of troubled projects and their turnaround on behalf of the Local Division.
**Your background**:
- Master or bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution; Accredited qualification in Business Management is added advantage.
- Minimum 20 years of total engineering and project management experience, at least 10-12 years in senior project management role.
- Strong Leadership and business management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge in implementing MAC/MEC/MEAC Methodology and Process.
- Solid professional with proven success in delivering complex solutions in Process Industries, including, but not limited to the scope of Automation Systems, Electrical, E-house, Digital Solutions.
- Experience in delivering Large Projects in Process industries will be required. Experience in Pulp & Paper, Mining industry in the South East Asia will be preferred.
- Intimate knowledge of solutions bundling ( Process Electrification, Large Ehouses, Automation Systems, Filed Instruments, Power Management System, ).
