**The** **Head of Retail** is responsible for the overall performance, strategic growth, and operational excellence of all retail outlets under the organization. This leadership role oversees multi-store operations, sets performance standards, and ensures that brand, service, sales, and profitability targets are consistently achieved across regions. The Head of Retail plays a key role in driving business expansion, customer experience, and people development.
**Key Responsibilities: Retail Strategy & Execution**
- Develop and execute the overall retail strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Set and monitor retail KPIs (sales, margin, COGS, labor, NPS, etc.) across all stores.
- Lead store expansion planning, new store openings, and layout optimization.
**Operational Leadership**
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all outlets, maintaining brand consistency and service quality.
- Monitor store performance through regular audits, sales reviews, and customer feedback.
- Optimize stock, inventory, manpower, and cost control to drive store profitability.
**Sales & Business Development**
- Drive sales performance, monitor trends, and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing for campaigns, promotions, and loyalty programs to boost traffic and customer retention.
- Build strategic partnerships and corporate sales opportunities, including catering or event-based retail.
**People Management & Development**
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Area Managers, Store Managers, and supporting departments.
- Set performance goals, provide feedback, and ensure strong succession planning.
- Oversee staff training programs and ensure frontline teams deliver outstanding customer service.
**Customer Experience**
- Champion a customer-first culture across all touchpoints in the retail network.
- Ensure feedback channels are active and that improvements are implemented promptly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, product availability, and service consistency.
**Reporting & Financial Oversight**
- Review and analyze store P&L reports, forecast sales, and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Lead initiatives to improve COGS, labor efficiency, and operational margins.
- Report retail performance to executive leadership and recommend improvement plans.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in retail or F&B operations, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multiple outlets or regions in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory control, and customer engagement.
- Proficient in retail management systems, POS software, and Microsoft Office.
