General Duties
- Handle all aspects of Visual Merchandising for SK-II Indonesia, Vietnam and Australia
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Retail, and Training of SK-II; and report directly to the VM Manager
- Understand merchandising guidelines and ensure all stores are always in compliance: visuals, display elements, testers, and other merchandising elements
- Understand marketing calendars and ensure all new launches or initiatives for the period follow merchandising guidelines
- Be aware of retail counter environments and report competitors’ activities
- Manage end-to-end preparation of counter / backwall opening, renovation & closure (which includes data collection for Principal’s approval)
Specific Job Duties
Merchandising elements
- Forecast for merchandising elements on new launches / monthly initiatives, following Principal Global guidelines
- Forecast on non - selling items: Testers to be displayed in counters / backwalls, and managed monthly testers replenishment
- In all stores, ensure timely ordering and correct display of all merchandising elements for new launches / monthly initiatives, according to Principal Global guidelines
- Manage the store design, product's planogram (full size for sell products, testers). Ensure all stores are displaying the correct Tester, sellable product, in sufficient quantities.
Design
- Understand guidelines from Principal (e.g. trade animation, store visuals, store displays) and implement these locally
- Handle production, delivery and re-order of point-of-sale materials developed by Principal Global guideline
- Liaise between Principal, production vendor, and retailer’s PIC in developing design related with counter / event’s fixtures
- Propose to Principal for additional design / fixtures needed to support business acceleration
Planograms
- Prepare products planograms on new launches / monthly initiatives, following guidelines from Principal
- Monthly monitoring of planogram to ensure it aligns with the most recent SKU configurations
Visuals
- Understand Principal guidelines on store visuals and place the correct orders accordingly
- Ensure all stores are displaying the correct visuals during the right period
Submission of VM-related reports and figures
- Submit bi-monthly report after each new initiatives launch
- Submit new counter’s installation report
- Submit ad hoc figures requested by Regional. Examples are: Excel file template asking for number of each type of furniture per store, how many quantities forecasted for particular merchandising element, etc.
- Submit forecast for new CAPEX on the next FY
- Manage request & approval for asset management to Finance Team and liaise with Regional for tracking purposes
Miscellaneous
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure all VM guidelines are correctly followed
- Manage monthly counter’s maintenance: compiling maintenance’s list, gather quotation from vendors, and monitor maintenance execution each month
- Ensure all physical aspects of all SK-II channels are working and in good condition. Example: no busted lights, drawers & cabinets are working, no frayed wires, etc.
- Trade Animations and Special Events: ensure VM guidelines are followed, similar to the level of detail given to permanent stores
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree holder of architecture is a must (preferred course is Industrial Design)
- Formal training in any of these: graphic design, or industrial design, or exhibition design, or interior design
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in visual merchandising for the Beauty Industry
- Has experience in visual merchandising for retail boutiques
- Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or SketchUp is preferrable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power Point
