As a Program Researcher, you’ll be expected to investigate complex issues, synthesize large amounts of information, and generate insights that directly inform program design and decision-making. You must be able to work independently, manage shifting research priorities, and deliver outputs that are accurate, well-structured, and actionable, even when timelines are short or requirements change quickly. **Key Responsibilities**
**Research & Analysis**
- Conduct research on education trends, policies, and practices relevant to Solve Education’s programs.
- Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Prepare reports, case studies, and briefs that highlight program outcomes and impact.
- Support the design of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks.

**Program Development Support**
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve existing programs and develop new initiatives.
- Conduct needs assessments, baseline studies, and stakeholder consultations.
- Review and synthesise external research to inform program design and strategy.
- Assist in developing surveys, interview protocols, and other research tools.

**Collaboration & Engagement**
- Work closely with program teams to integrate research findings into program planning.
- Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation staff, ensuring data collection aligns with research objectives.
- Engage with external stakeholders (universities, NGOs, government) for research collaboration.
- Present findings to both internal teams and external partners in clear, actionable formats.

**Reporting & Documentation**
- Maintain organised databases and research records.
- Ensure research outputs meet high standards of accuracy and credibility.
- Contribute to publications, presentations, and knowledge-sharing activities.

**What We’re Looking For**
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.

**Work Experience** **(at least one of the following)**
- Experience in UX research, program research, education research, or monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- Background in data collection, survey design, or applied research projects.
- Involvement in NGO, education, or community-based program research.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, or similar).
- Good report-writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
- Ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.

**Other Requirements**
- Based in Bandung or willing to relocate to Bandung.
- Willing to travel for field research and data collection.

**Additional (Bonus)**
- Knowledge of education policies and trends in Indonesia and globally.
- Exposure to edtech research or AI-driven data analysis.
