- Our finance professionals play an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. They deliver significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, funding and capital structure to honor our commitments to our stakeholders. They inform the decisions of AIG executives and comply with regulatory requirements, maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.
- Within the Finance team, the Treasury and Capital Markets group handles Treasury Department activities and funding the overall capital structure of AIG and investor relations. The Actuarial and Value Management team manages rating agency relations. The Finance Operations team handles controllership activities, including Security & Exchange Commission reporting and tax.
- About the role
- What you need to know:

- The role will be responsible for handling accounting activities and its reporting
- Dealing with treasury & investment operations across multiple currencies and liaise with the bank partner in relation to bank account management
- Working with relevant stakeholders to prepare tax reporting, reconciliation and query handling
- Working on cash flow projections in consultation with internal stakeholders including accruals and pre-payments
- Handling account payables, payment operations and intercompany and reconciliation
- Expense reporting & analysis
- Accruals & Prepayments
- Capitalization & Amortization/Depreciation (incl. Fixed Assets)
- Other activities as needed for F&A or the Company
- What we are looking for:

- Good, strong financial accounting basics, and analytical capability
- Organized and methodical approach to achieving goals and solving problems
- Good qualifications in Finance & Accounting, Tax or other appropriate similar areas
- About 3 years relevant experience
- Experience working with a multinational organisation is preferrable
- Experience managing teams is preferrable
- Ability to communicate well in English, both written and verbal
- Good Interpersonal skills and experience in building relationships across functions
- Effective at multi-tasking and time management
- Being proactive, willing the learn new skills
- Experience working with multiple complex financial systems and ledgers is preferrable
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access would be advantageous
- Experience in projects would be advantageous
