Infrastructure Engineer

Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions on GCP, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (e.g., GKE) to orchestrate and optimize microservices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to streamline the software delivery process.
- Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure strategies with microservices architecture.
- Monitor and improve system performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Stackdriver, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Configure and maintain secure VPN connections, enabling seamless integration between on-premises and cloud systems.
- Optimize infrastructure costs by evaluating and improving resource usage while maintaining performance standards.
- Research and integrate emerging technologies in cloud computing and infrastructure management to improve system efficiency and scalability.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years in Infrastructure Engineering or DevOps.
- Design, implementation, and management of infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, IAM, VPC, cost optimization, and cloud security.
- Deployment and management of clusters, use of Helm, autoscaling, monitoring, and logging within Kubernetes.
- Building pipelines using GitHub Actions, automating build, test, and deployment processes, and integrating with Kubernetes and Docker registry.
- Familiar with designing REST/GraphQL APIs, monitoring with Prometheus or Grafana, and observability using Stackdriver.
- Managing VPN in cloud or hybrid environments (GCP VPN, Cloud Interconnect), implementing site-to-site or point-to-site VPN, troubleshooting VPN connectivity, and handling protocols like IPsec, OpenVPN, or WireGuard.
- Familiar with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, or OpenTelemetry
- Managing secrets using HashiCorp Vault or GCP Secret Manager, implementing best practices for infrastructure security.
- Leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and effective technical communication.
