Job Description
**Purpose**:
The Drilling Performance Engineer is responsible for monitoring and analyzing drilling operations performance with the goal of optimizing efficiency, reducing Non-Productive Time (NPT), and improving cost-effectiveness. By analyzing operational data, defining targeted KPIs, and implementing improvement plans based on advanced analytics, this role supports the achievement of performance objectives in drilling operations.
**General Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
Monitoring and Statistical Analysis of KPIs and NPT
Continuously supervises Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Non-Productive Time (NPT), comparing them against predefined benchmarks.
Applies advanced statistical methods to analyze data related to KPIs and NPT in order to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Provides detailed reports with data-driven insights to optimize operational strategies.
Development of Performance Improvement Plans
Prepares detailed plans to enhance drilling performance, incorporating advanced analytics and data-driven methodologies.
Identifies opportunities for optimization through collaboration with operational and engineering teams.
Implements corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies based on analytical findings.
Analysis of Offset Wells’ Performance
Analyzes performance data from offset wells to define target KPIs and develop risk models.
Identifies best practices and optimization opportunities based on historical performance of similar wells.
Contributes to the formulation of drilling strategies through data-driven analysis and predictive simulations.
Data Quality Assurance
Reviews WellView data at the end of drilling operations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Performs QA/QC (Quality Assurance & Quality Control) on all collected data prior to the official closeout of well activities.
Guarantees traceability and reliability of information for future performance analysis.
Well Cost Analysis and Cost Performance Evaluation
Conducts detailed cost analysis of drilling operations.
Assesses cost performance against budget and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing strategies for cost optimization.
Supports management in defining financial strategies to improve cost per meter drilled.
**Requirements**:
**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- Professional Qualification: 10 years of Oil & Gas industry experience especially in Drilling & Completion area.
- Training and courses:

- Basic Oil
- Drilling & Completion engineering course
- Geology and Geophysics basis course
- Subsurface and Reservoir basis course
- Hazardous waste management, first aider, fire fighting
- HEUT and sea survival
- Language: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

- Drilling Activities: Drilling operation, dry and wet wellhead systems, Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids & Cement operation.
- Advance Completion - Workover - Rigless: Intelligent completions.
- High Profile Drilling: Extended reach drilling, HP/HT drilling, simultaneous drilling, wellbore stability/sand production/prediction & control.
- High Profile Completion - Workover - Rigless: Well stimulation (Acid), well stimulation (Frac), stimul./compl./gravel pack/fracturing jobs fluids design & eng./HP/HT completion, simultaneous production, wellbore stability/sand production/prediction and control.
- E&P Management: Standard workflow, best practices.
- Economics General: Economics evaluation, make or buy choice, cost estimation/budgeting/cost analysis/control.
- Contracting: Variations and claim resolution.
- Technical Specification & Bidding: Technical specs preparations (Engineering), evolution technological market, specific Suppliers & Contractors market knowledge, preparation & development of technical standard, tender technical evaluation.
