Storage Management

**Storage Health Check**: Perform the routine health check of storage system, including the controller array, disk array, and SAN fabric.
Storage Infrastructure Management
Adjust the storage directory structure
Create/delete/modify Fileshares and Filesystem from within NAS Device
Modify and adjust controller cache, disk workload distribution and provisioning
Modify the storage configuration parameter
Perform backup of storage configuration and settings
Plan and implement changes to storage, logical disk, and RAID
Perform storage allocation/de-allocation
Perform Microcode/firmware upgrades for storage controller and disk enclosure
Perform Storage activation & Decommission

Storage LUN, Host and Port Management
Add or remove New Host, port, Thin LUN, Thick LUN
Plan and implement changes to Storage LUN Configuration
Implement copy services for Block and Filesystem

Storage Diagnostic & Troubleshooting
Storage Problem Management
Storage UID Management
Storage Patch Management
Add/modify/change/delete the storage access account and account's operation right for storage
Modify/reset the storage system account or password.
Maintain fileshare permissions (NAS)

Receive and verify audit checklist
Respond to audit data request and provide the evidence

Configure backup policy for new added client / node
OS Image/Database/Filesystem/Virtualization Snapshot backup configuration
Configure backup job schedule

Plan for new release of Backup and Restore software and Backup and Restore monitoring software upgrader
Deduplication and compression configuration

**Backup and Restore Health Check**: Perform the routine health check of Backup and Restore system, including backup & media server, tape library & drive, physical tapes.

Backup and Restore Monitoring
Monitor miss/fail of scheduled Backups
Monitor tape library and drive status
Backup VTL capacity monitoring and housekeeping

Backup and Restore Infrastructure Management
Create, implement, and manage Backup and Restore scripts
Perform backup internal database maintenance
Perform microcode/firmware upgrades in tape library/drives
Plan/coordinate commission/decommission library hardware

Backup and Restore Diagnostic & Troubleshooting
Backup and Restore Problem Management
Backup Recovery/Restoration
Configure and perform bare metal recovery for new server
Perform flat file restoration (Filesystem) when it is needed
Perform full system recovery/restoration when it is needed
Perform restoration of requests
Restore database from backup when it is needed

Backup and Restore Performance Optimization
Performance tune long running backup Job
Review and update tape device configuration parameter (buffer, concurrency etc.)
Verify and adjust the backup scheduling according to backup window
Modify and adjust network configuration & bandwidth, and tape drive workload distribution and backup window

Backup and Restore UID Management
Add/modify/change/delete the Backup and Restore access account and account's
operation right for Backup and Restore system
Modify/reset the Backup and Restore system account or password.
Implement the account management policy, and periodically review and update the policy

Library & Media Management
Initialize/scan/erase Backup and Restore tape media volumes
Perform onsite/offsite media management
Perform Backup and Restore library maintenance and tape management
Shutdown/reboot backup/media server, tape library/drives when needed.
Verify/reset poor tape/media.

Backup and Restore Job Implementation Support
Add/create new backup specs & schedule
Add and schedule new database backups via Backup Server
Deploy pre and post script in backup configuration
Enable or disable scheduled backup
Modification on existing backup specs & schedule
Perform on-demand backups as requested
Plan and implement backup mirroring/copy tasks

**Backup and Restore Patch Management**: Backup and Restore Patch Management is to ensure all Backup and Restore system at correct patch levels in line with company‘s Software Update Policy. It provides the patch download, installation, testing, verification, and uninstall for the Backup and Restore system.
