Physical Therapist

**JOB PURPOSE**

JVM is hiring a Physical Therapist to perform a full range of professional Physical Therapy concepts and practices on site, using government furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**
- History, detailed examination, testing, and evaluation of the management of common musculoskeletal conditions. Provide manual muscle and joint testing, total musculoskeletal range of motion evaluations and diagnosis.
- Case consultation with referring Medical Officer.
- Post surgical care consultations from referring medical officers.
- Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems, as they occur, in addition to regularly scheduled appointments.
- Provide individual counseling about the effects and benefits of prescribed exercise regimens, physical fitness, and other related programs.
- Participate in the Health Services Quality Improvement Program.
- Provide instruction to clinic staff on an ad hoc basis.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

The provider of Physical Therapy services shall possess and maintain for the duration of this agreement:

- A diploma from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- A current unrestricted active license to practice Physical Therapy from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands;
- A current certification in the field of Physical Therapy.
- “No unfavorable information on file” rating with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
- A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
- A minimum of two (2) years recent experience (immediately preceding the submission of this offer).

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must pass criminal background check.
