This role is to support growing power team who work throughout Australasia on iconic projects that are shaping the energy transition journey to net-zero carbon emissions. We deliver innovative technical solutions to our high voltage power generation, transmission and distribution clients across Australasia.

**The Opportunity**

With a strong pipeline of exciting projects, our team is growing. We are looking for an experienced Protection (Power) Engineer to bolster our technical capability to deliver high voltage substation designs to an enviable list of transmission and distribution clients.

Projects range from connecting renewable energy sites to upgrading networks for resilience. Projects will have unique design requirements, however a large part of the work will be for major transmission utilities including Transgrid, AusNet and Transpower with protection schemes ranging from 11kV to 500kV. Experience with DigSilent PowerFactory, and a range of protection setting software is advantageous. Additional secondary or communications design experience would be valuable.

**About You**

Your technical skills are based on solid fundamentals and have been proven through the delivery of power engineering projects. You are experienced and have a passion for learning and collaborating as part of a wider team and are driven by taking on exciting new opportunities.

Preferably, you will have proven capability across a range of the following areas:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering discipline;
- At least 5 to 8 years’ experience in developing secondary and/or protection designs for high voltage electricity networks;
- Understanding of the various engineering disciplines
- Be organised and able to multi-task;
- Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia;
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers (locally and/or internationally) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget;
- Take pride in delivering successful outcomes;
- Enjoy working in a team environment;
- Any consultancy experience is advantageous but not essential.
