- Preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Examining financial statements to check them for accuracy and conformity to statutory requirements and accounting principles
- Reviewing and improving financial policies and control systems
- Assisting with budget/forecast preparation and financial planning processes
- Coordinating internal and external audits and implementing audit findings to improve financial processes
- Ensuring compliance with all internal processes
- Ensuring compliance with all external reporting i.e. central bank reporting, custom reporting, etc.
- Support tax team in preparing data for tax returns and maintaining necessary documentation
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts. As well identifying inefficiencies and improvement in the budget/forecast, and reporting on variances
- Communicating financial information to non-financial staff and stakeholders

**Qualifications**
- Proven work experience as a General Accountant or similar role with minimum work experience of 5 years.
- Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. SAP, JDE, ORACLE, GLOVIA)
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Very good problem-solving and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Minimum Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
- Analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and provide financial forecasts.
- Excellent communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-financial employees and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and rectify discrepancies and issues in financial data.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the ethical standards of the accounting profession.Knowledge in tax preparation and compliance, as well as skills in budgeting and financial planning.
