The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead Director plays a key role in achieving Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s quality assurance goals of maintaining safe, nurturing Boys & Girls Club environments through various layers of protection. The QA Lead Director trains and manages a team of Quality Assurance Analysts who conduct annual site level safety assessments regarding child safety practices and procedures, policies, and standards. The QA Lead Director reviews findings/recommendations for accuracy, ensures non-conformances are rectified on time and partners with DODs, Peer Consultants and Safety Directors to provide seamless support to member organizations. The QA Lead Director nurtures positive relationships with the CEO and Safety Committee Chair and ensures that the process is well-received.

**Responsibilities**:
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Ensures QA Analysts are properly trained and competent in all aspects of safety assessment execution, to include ongoing evaluations and coaching.
- Provides assessment scheduling guidance to maximize organization and club time and minimize travel time and costs.
- Conducts annual organization and club assessments at mature and/or complex organizations upon request, and at other organizations and clubs to help meet assessment goals.
- Ensures all assessment reports are accurate, completed timely, and sent to the CEOs, Board Chairs and Safety Committee Chairs within 7 business days.
- Detects issues or identifies opportunities that may arise from assessments and offers solutions to the problems.
- Facilitates onsite remedial training to address areas of non-compliance.
- Provides expert guidance and/or technical assistance on general matters of safety and health affecting staff or members.
- Provides technical assistance, policy interpretation and consultative services on programming to include facility operation, staffing and operational requirements.
- Prepares and or facilitates the development of data, reports, presentations, training, procedures, and strategies.

**SUPERVISION EXERCISED**
- Supervises Quality Assurance Analysts team.

Qualifications:
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five plus years’ experience in safety, QA or a related field
- Supervisor experience
- Experience managing regional travel up to 50%
- Experience in evaluating and mitigating risk
- Knowledgeable in child abuse prevention
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software

**SKILLS**
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills with the ability to provide effective training programs and safety related resources. Ability to negotiate with vendors for Movement-wide resources. Demonstrated high standards of ethics and integrity. Ability to develop partnerships with related agencies. Excellent skills in monitoring, follow-up, and great attention to detail. Ability to collect, analyze data, and make decisions based on information. Demonstrates passion for child safety issues. Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks and projects at same time; adjust priorities based on need. Ability to work interdepartmentally to get results. Ability to influence others to make needed changes without having authority to mandate change. Ability to think conceptually and develop innovative solutions. Possess expert knowledge of risk management and control, premises liability, security, property hazards, sports and aquatic safety, emergency response planning/procedures, vehicular safety, bullying, and child abuse. Ability to effectively use technology while traveling.

**ABILITIES**
- Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for four plus hours per day. High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility. Must have good reasoning abilities and sound judgment; skills essential for successful communications include speaking and writing.

**ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Normal internal working environment.
- Travel estimated at 50%
- The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate areas of the country by using a map or other direction methods.
