Chief Executive Officer

Our client, a brand new collaborative events space, is searching for a strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join their team immediately.
The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, Shareholders, CFO, COO, CMO, Creative Directors & Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders to execute the vision of this multifaceted institution, ensuring sustainable growth, financial health, and a global reputation for excellence.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Arts Management, Business Administration, Museum Studies, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience of 10 years as a CEO or senior executive in cultural, creative, or hospitality sectors.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages a plus.
- Familiarity with Indonesian, especially Bali culture, the art industry, and regulatory environments is an advantage.
- Prior experience at senior management level with a minimum of five years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing diverse teams, overseeing large-scale operations, and implementing strategic initiatives.
- Strong background in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with BOD, shareholders, and senior management.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance creative vision with operational efficiency and profitability.
- Knowledge of international art, cultural trends, and emerging technologies, especially in the immersive and digital art sectors.
- Expertise in marketing, public relations, and brand development, with a track record of successful audience engagement.
- Ability to communicate a clear and compelling vision to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on results.
- Have strong business sense and commercial skills (budgeting, budget management and finance), business understanding and strong appreciation of the industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strong ability to manage both technical and business functions.
- High level of professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide visionary leadership in all aspects of the venue's operations.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategic goals to enhance the institution’s reputation, profitability, and community impact.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the institution, representing the organisation to government bodies, the arts community, media, and the public.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that aligns with the institution’s mission and values.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient management of all functions.
- Supervise senior management and department heads in areas such as curatorial, education, guest services, events, technology, operations, and facility management.
- Monitor and improve customer experience, both physically at the venue and digitally, enhancing visitor satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO to ensure financial sustainability, growth, and profitability.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecast revenue streams, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Identify and pursue new revenue generation opportunities, such as sponsorships, grants, partnerships, ticket sales, and memberships.
- Manage financial risks and opportunities, providing clear financial reporting to the Board and Shareholders.
- Work closely with the CMO to develop and execute marketing and branding strategies that position the institution as a global leader in cultural and immersive experiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, private donors, corporate sponsors, artists, curators, and cultural organisations.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to the Board of Directors and Shareholders, ensuring their vision is aligned with operational activities.
- Lead and advise on curatorial decisions, exhibition planning, and programming.
- Encourage collaborations with local and international artists, institutions, and organisations to bring world-class exhibits and installations to the venue.
- Foster an environment of creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange.
- Ensure a unique environment for artists, scholars, and cultural figures to engage with the community.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement state-of-the-art multimedia content that appeals to a global audience.
- Promote the use of digital platforms to expand the reach of the institution's programs and initiatives.
- Develop and implement educational programs that engage local communities and visitors from around the world.
