IT SOC Engineer

We are looking for an IT SOC Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events to ensure the protection of company systems and data. You will work with SIEM, EDR, and other security tools to detect threats, investigate incidents, and support remediation activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and events through SIEM and SOC monitoring tools.
  • Perform threat analysis using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and internal playbooks.
  • Investigate suspicious activities, validate alerts, and identify potential indicators of compromise.
  • Execute basic remediation actions or escalate incidents to L2/L3 or relevant technical teams.
  • Document findings, actions taken, and investigation notes in the ticketing system.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper ticket ownership and closure.
  • Maintain SLA by managing incident priorities and following SOC procedures.
  • Utilize tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability scanners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience minimum 2 years as SOC Engineer
  • Experience in SOC operations, security monitoring, or cybersecurity roles.
  • Familiar with SIEM tools, log analysis, and incident handling procedures.
  • Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, IOC analysis, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with ticketing systems and follow structured SOPs.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
