Extended Expertise Engineer - Cortex XSOAR/XSIAM

Location: Jakarta, Indonedia

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional with a strong background in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments, particularly with hands-on experience in Palo Alto Networks Cortex platforms. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enhancing delivery capabilities, automating incident response processes, and implementing advanced security measures using the latest technologies from Palo Alto Networks. An experience in endpoint security and/or automation is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Palo Alto SIEM/SOC/SOAR solutions to optimize SOC operations and automate security processes

  • Collaborate with SOC analysts to improve incident response workflows, threat intelligence integration, and overall security posture

  • Integrate XSIAM/XSOAR with existing security tools (SIEM, threat intelligence, endpoint protection, etc.) to ensure seamless and automated data flow

  • Develop custom playbooks and automated workflows to respond to security incidents, minimizing manual intervention.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in XSIAM/XSOAR, providing guidance and training to SOC analysts on best practices and advanced use cases.

  • Perform SOC analysis, including threat hunting, malware analysis, and incident management, using Palo Alto security tools.

  • Support the monitoring, detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity threats and incidents.

  • Regularly evaluate and fine-tune SOC processes, ensuring they are aligned with the latest threat landscape and industry standards.

  • Work closely with the security engineering team to continuously improve network security infrastructure and enhance defence mechanisms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a SOC environment with a focus on security analysis and incident response.
  • Strong experience with any major SOAR platforms, including implementation, configuration, and customization.
  • Hands-on experience with SOC technologies such as SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and other security tools.
  • Knowledge of security automation, orchestration, and incident response workflows.
  • Experience with threat intelligence, malware analysis, and security monitoring.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python and optional XQL/SQL) and knowledge of related AI tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
