Job Description

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the life insurance claims department in alignment with the company's overall goals
  • Oversee the entire life insurance claims process, from the initial claim notification to final settlement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Implement and update claims processing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and quality of the claims process.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to address customer inquiries and complaints handling concerns related to life insurance claims.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience during the claims process.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as underwriting, legal, finance and other related units to ensure a seamless claims process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in medical, nursing, public health, life insurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or insurance industry certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a life insurance claims department.
  • In-depth knowledge of life insurance products, regulations, and claims processing procedures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology.
