Overview

We are seeking a qualified and capable Finance Analyst to strengthen our finance function as we move from R&D into structured manufacturing. The role combines hands-on accounting with forward-looking analysis, supporting management, procurement, and operations with accurate numbers and clear insight.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Month-End Close

• Oversee and support bookkeeping to ensure accurate coding, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Lead month-end close activities: journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain orderly financial records in line with accounting standards.

Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts with KPIs, analysis, and commentary.
• Assist in investment memorandums and investor reports.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Maintain rolling forecasts for P&L, cash flow, and stock.
• Support the budgeting cycle, working closely with procurement and operations.
• Run scenario analysis to support financial decisions.

Costing & Manufacturing Support

• Build and maintain product costing models for artisanal and outsourced production.
• Analyse material, labour, and overhead costs to validate pricing and margins.
• Work with procurement to track supplier costs and evaluate cost trends.

Financial Analysis

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis across sales, operations, and supply chain.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Support the implementation and optimisation of Xero and related finance systems.
• Strengthen financial processes and integrate with procurement, inventory/manufacturing.

Qualifications & Experience
Requirements

• Accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, finance, or analyst roles.
• Strong grounding in bookkeeping and the month-end close process.
• Experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting systems.
• Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or product costing.
• Strong spreadsheet and modelling skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a product-based, consumer goods, and/or manufacturing environment.
• Prior involvement in finance systems implementation and process improvements.
