Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced trader specializing in Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) and other biomass fuels to drive international market development, procurement, and sales. The role is based in Indonesia and focuses on global trade (export/re-export), particularly thermal coal or biomass fuel in international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. In line with company strategy, develop overseas and domestic markets for Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) and other biomass fuels; handle procurement and sales to achieve designated trade targets.
  2. Deeply understand the upstream and downstream of the PKS supply chain (plantations, processing mills, end-user power plants/factories, etc.); build and maintain stable supplier and client networks while optimizing the supply chain.
  3. Monitor global biomass energy policies, market price fluctuations, and industry trends.
  4. Coordinate internal and external resources to resolve issues in logistics, quality inspection, payment settlement, etc., ensuring smooth transaction execution.
  5. Undertake ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Industry Experience

  2. Minimum 3 years of bulk commodity trading experience.

  3. In-depth knowledge of domestic and international markets for PKS or other biomass fuels (e.g., wood pellets, palm shells).
  4. Proven track record with established upstream/downstream resources and successful transaction cases.

  5. Candidates with hands-on experience in international market thermal coal trading (re-export/turnaround trade) or PKS/biomass fuel export will be prioritized.

  6. Professional Skills

  7. Proficient in international trade processes (Incoterms, Letters of Credit, ocean freight logistics, etc.) with strong commercial negotiation and risk control awareness.

  8. Practical experience in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, etc.) PKS supply chains is highly preferred.

  9. Familiar with PKS physical and chemical specifications (moisture, calorific value, ash content, etc.), trading standards, and end-customer requirements.

  10. Personal Attributes & Language

  11. Results-oriented with strong market sensitivity and data analysis capabilities.

  12. Able to adapt to frequent business travel or cross-border collaboration.
  13. Fluent English (both written and spoken) as the primary working language – mandatory.
  14. Chinese reading and writing ability is a plus but not required.
