Job Summary

The Retail Planner acts as the strategic brain of the retail activation team — responsible for
transforming insights and creative concepts into clear, compelling proposal decks
. This role bridges marketing strategy, consumer understanding, and visual storytelling to deliver Samsung client presentations and campaign direction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Concept Development

  • Develops the core Big Idea and overarching MX retail experience theme for campaign proposals.
  • Translates marketing briefs into a unified Master Creative Brief that guides design, digital, and production teams.
  • Defines key creative principles and customer experience narratives that shape the in-store and digital journey.

2. Consumer & Market Insight Analysis

  • Researches and interprets consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitor activity to identify actionable insights.
  • Builds compelling storylines supported by data and visuals to justify strategic and creative directions.
  • Curates mood boards and visual references to effectively communicate the concept's intent and emotional tone.

3. Phygital Experience Planning

  • Designs the end-to-end customer journey from online discovery to in-store engagement.
  • Develops Phygital strategies integrating digital touchpoints (apps, AR, social media) with retail environments.
  • Ensures consistent messaging and customer experience across physical and digital channels.

4. Proposal & Presentation Excellence

  • Crafts visually engaging and persuasive PowerPoint proposals that clearly express strategy, creative direction, and ROI potential.
  • Collaborates with creative and design teams to ensure consistency between strategic narrative and visual storytelling.
  • Maintains high design standards — clarity, aesthetics, and client impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or Design.
  • 7–10 years' experience in marketing, advertising, or retail activation (agency background preferred).
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills; able to synthesize insights into impactful proposals.
  • Advanced PowerPoint / Keynote skills with a keen eye for visual design and storytelling.
  • Excellent command of English for presentation writing and client communication.
