to lead our Sampling & CAD operations.

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Technical / Sample & CAD Room Manager to join our team onsite in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. This is a managerial, hands-on role for a technically strong professional with deep experience in
Premium Woven & Knit Fashion apparel
, who can balance
technical excellence with operational discipline
.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead all technical aspects of
    sample development
    , from design handover through final approval
  • Ensure
    fit, construction, grading, and workmanship
    meet premium brand standards
  • Provide technical solutions for complex styles, fabrics, and trims (woven & knit)
  • Review and approve
    patterns, markers, BOMs, and construction methods
  • Act as the key technical interface with
    Design, Merchandising, Production, and QA
  • Build, train and manage a team
    that is able to achieve all above objectives

Sample & CAD Room Management

  • Head the
    Sample & CAD Room team
    including pattern makers, CAD operators, sample sewers, and technical staff
  • Oversee
    sample scheduling, capacity planning, and prioritization
    to meet critical deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in
    CAD pattern making, grading, and marker efficiency
  • Be accountable for department
    costing and efficiency
  • Drive
    continuous improvement
    in sample room productivity and quality

Operational & KPI Ownership

  • Establish and enforce
    SOPs, technical standards, and best practices
  • Support cost engineering initiatives without compromising quality or fit

Own KPIs related to:

  • Sample turnaround time
  • First-fit / first-sample approval rate
  • Pattern accuracy & rework reduction
  • CAD efficiency and fabric utilization
  • Department capacity & per-unit cost

Requirements

  • Minimum
    5-10 years of technical experience
    in ladies fashion apparel manufacturing
  • Strong specialization in
    premium woven & knit apparel, particularly dresses
  • Proven experience managing
    large sample & CAD room teams
  • Excellent understanding of:
  • Pattern making, grading, and garment construction
  • Fit standards for US & European brands
  • CAD systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in
    Indonesia is strongly preferred
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
