Drafter E&I

Job Description

• Coordination with Project Managers and Engineers for preparation of technical drawings and submission approval.
• Prepare material take-off
• Prepare general drawings
• Prepare drawings for E&I discipline works (cable tray layout, cross sections, cable routing, equipment supports, P&ID etc)
• Prepare fill factor of cable trays
• Prepare cutting plan for cables
• Prepare other drawing, fabrication and installation works as required by QA/QC and Engineers.
• Ad-hoc duties as and when assigned including related site matters not mentioned above
• Understand project design, quality and construction specifications
• Modify and update drawings as per change orders or updates to project requirements
• Ensure that all drafting work complies with relevant industry standards and internal quality control procedures
• Verify drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that equipment and components in drawings are accurate and up-to-date
• Ensure all electrical and instrumentation designs meet safety standards, local regulations, and client requirements
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to electrical and instrumentation design.

Job Requirements

• Good communication skills in English both written & spoke
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related fields
• Must know how to operate and draw in AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) systems, including circuits, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation layout

Have relevant job experience in oil and gas/offshore/marine industry required

• Possess experience and knowledge in drafting electrical designs-cable tray layout, cross sections, cable routing, equipment supports, P&ID etc.
• Proficiency in E3D, Tekla or Revit is a plus
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good team player. Can work with people of different nationalities harmoniously
• Must know how to operate MS office (minimum Word and Excel)
• Familiar with electrical layouts and design, construction/fabrication/shop drawings
• Have relevant professional certificate
• Able to work under pressure
• Good people skills and able to work with people of all background and levels
• Ability to manage time and schedules to meet project requirement
• Willing to learn new activities and positive attitude.
