Technical Writer (Data Warehouse)

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer (Data Warehouse) to develop clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation for our data platform. This role works closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and BI teams to translate complex data processes into easy-to-understand documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain documentation for Data Warehouse architecture, data models, and data flows
  • Document ETL/ELT pipelines, data mappings, and transformation rules
  • Develop Technical Design Documents (TDD), SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
  • Create data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand data logic and business rules
  • Review and update documentation following system or schema changes
  • Support audit, handover, and knowledge transfer processes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
  • Minimum 1–3 years experience as a Technical Writer in Data Warehouse / Data Platform projects
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (fact & dimension tables, star/snowflake schema)
  • Familiar with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
  • Able to read and understand SQL queries
  • Experience with Data Warehouse platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse is a plus)
  • Familiar with documentation tools (Confluence, Notion, Google Docs, Markdown)
  • Able to create technical diagrams , Lucidchart, Visio)
  • Strong written communication skills in English
