Australian Intercultural School is urgently seeking for a Primary Humanities and Social Sciences Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a deep understanding of history, geography, civics, and other social sciences in our students. You will design and deliver engaging and innovative curriculum that promotes critical thinking, civic responsibility, and a global perspective. Also involves working with students across various grade levels, inspiring curiosity about the world, and helping them develop the skills to analyze complex social, cultural issues.

Qualifications

  • Possesses strong classroom management skills with a high degree of responsibility towards teaching as well as students' academic progress.
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural educational environment.
  • Familiar with the inquiry-based teaching and learning process and capable of using various teaching strategies and approaches.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products, applications and services and is able to use technology efficiently for educational purposes.

Requirement:

  • A graduate from a reputable university with a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching Social Sciences in the Lower Primary (Primary 1 - Primary 3) preferably in an International or National Plus School setting.
  • Experience with international curriculum such as IB/Cambridge a plus.
  • Able and willing to teach history & geography of Indonesia, Australia & other important countries.
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent speaking and writing skills with a strong capacity and confidence to deliver the lesson in English.
