The System Engineer reports to the Systems Operations Lead and is responsible for managing day to day Systems Operations. The engineer will work closely with other members of the Systems Operations team to ensure optimum system performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Must be capable of speaking English along with local language.

  2. Degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline.

  3. At least 2-3 years of IT experience in System Administration.

  4. Infrastructure administration experience and Certification(Windows Servers, Linux, networking).

  5. Experience in Docker environment.

  6. Kubernetes will be additional requirement.

  7. Willing to work on shift

Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Managing and monitor all Systems and related infrastructure

  2. Install, configure, test and maintain Operating Systems, Application Software, Server and Appliance hardware and VMs

  3. Ensure highest level of System and Infrastructure availability

  4. Manage all Systems related incidents and problems to identify the root cause and implement workarounds or resolutions to bring the incidents and problems to a satisfactory closure

  5. Troubleshooting and resolving of all System related issues including application and server related issues

  6. Participate in various technical or infrastructure initiatives (e.g. System enhancements, upgrades)

  7. Ensuring Service/Change requests are implemented in accordance to operation processes

  8. Ensure all incidents and requests are resolved/completed within SLA

  9. Analysis of infrastructure and capacity planning for future projects/growth

10.Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

11.Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

12.Manage more than one Systems Domain (i.e. Active Directory, VMWare, Server and Backup, Storage, Operating Systems – Windows, Linux)
