KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HDF Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Power System Engineer to support our projects in the Asia Pacific region and provide support to our engineering team in Bordeaux, France. This role will report directly to the Director of Asia Pacific in Jakarta and Director of Engineering in Bordeaux. This position is expected to start in Q3/Q4 2025 and must be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

• Provide internal assessment covering topic on electrical & power system (preliminary grid assessment, electricity supply demand analysis, grid issues, etc)
• Involve in overseeing external studies (Feasibility Study, Grid/System Impact Study) including the preparation of TOR/RFP/RFQ, review of proposal, review of the study and simulation from consultant.
• Provide review of Basic Engineering Design, FEED and DED and act as the vocal point to discuss with consultant/EPC/Vendor on the topic specific for electrical
• Involve in permitting processes by identifying and understanding the grid code, international & local standard, preparation of technical documentation and simulation, and coordination with the relevant agencies during the permitting process
• Provide support to Business Development team during discussion with stakeholders on the technical/grid topic, especially technical discussion with potential off-taker and/or grid operator.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical/Power System
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Utility company (grid operation) or Engineering Consulting Company (power system design & simulation) or EPC company (power plant, electrical grid, substation)
• Experience using software relevant to power system simulation (ETAP, Power Factory DigSilent, etc).
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• Experience in solar power plants will be appreciated
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
