As part of its growth strategy, and to support this client's rapid expansion and facility readiness in Indonesia, IURIS International Indonesia has been entrusted by the client to recruit a series of critical operational, engineering, and leadership roles that will shape the foundation of a high-performance waste-to-fuel production plant. This creates an opportunity for an experienced manager to join a fast-growing sustainability initiative backed by the client's strategic advisory ecosystem and the client's vision for clean energy transformation.
The Project Finance Manager will lead financial structuring, modeling, and capital-raising activities for sustainability-driven infrastructure projects developed by one of the client's key clients in the Waste-to-Fuel and carbon-reduction sector. This position is responsible for developing financial models, structuring green financing instruments, preparing investor materials, and coordinating with banks, escrow institutions, and due diligence partners, while ensuring alignment with international green finance standards and supports the client's long-term investment strategy and ESG commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced project finance models including IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis, CAPEX/OPEX forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Structure green financing mechanisms such as green loans, ESG-linked bonds, carbon-credit-backed instruments, and sustainability-linked financing.
- Prepare investor memos, investment teasers, risk assessments, and internal approval documents.
- Coordinate with banks, investors, escrow agents, and legal teams for financing execution.
- Lead financial due diligence, feasibility studies, and project viability assessments.
- Ensure full alignment with global green finance frameworks (ICMA, ASEAN Green Bond Standards, IFC Performance Standards).
- Support project structuring and negotiations with internal ESG, engineering, and project development teams.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. CFA certification or ongoing pursuit is an advantage.
- Experience:
- At least 7 years of experience in project finance, within renewable energy, infrastructure, sustainability, or industrial development sectors, with 3 years in managerial roles.
- Proven track record as manager and having solid leadership experience managing finance teams within projects.
- Technical & Professional Competencies:
- Advanced financial modeling for project finance (IRR, DCF, sensitivity tests, depreciation schedules).
- Knowledge of green financing frameworks (ICMA Green Bond Principles, Asean Green Bonds, Sustainability Reporting Standards).
- Experience in due diligence and risk assessment for infrastructure or renewable-energy projects.
- Strong capital markets understanding, including loan structuring, investor relations, and term sheet evaluation.
- Proficiency in working with banks, investors, and legal advisors for closing financing transactions.
- Personal Qualities:
- Detail-oriented and analytical, able to handle complex financial data with precision.
- Strategic communicator, able to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive and independent, capable of driving financing processes to completion.
- Language: English (professional business level to communicate with foreign stakeholders).
