About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and reliable
Paint Shop Maintenance Engineer
to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of all equipment and systems in our paint shop operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and continuously improving production machinery to meet VinFast's standards of efficiency and quality.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in automotive paint shop maintenance or industrial maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of paint shop systems such as pre-treatment, electrocoating (ED), ovens, spray booths, and conveyors
  • Familiar with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and preventive maintenance systems
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, control systems, and PLCs
  • Experience with troubleshooting automation equipment, sensors, and electrical panels
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced and high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on paint shop equipment and facilities
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime
  • Analyze root causes of equipment failure and propose effective corrective actions
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support smooth operations
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement predictive maintenance strategies
  • Maintain records and documentation of maintenance activities
  • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
