About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mandarin Translator to join our team at PT BASIC INTERNATIONAL SUMATERA' in Simalungun, North Sumatra. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication and collaboration between our company and our Mandarin-speaking partners and clients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Translating documents, including business contracts, correspondence, and marketing materials, from Mandarin to English and vice versa
  2. Interpreting during meetings, presentations, and other business interactions with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
  3. Ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of all translated materials
  4. Maintaining a high level of proficiency in both Mandarin and English, staying up-to-date with industry terminology and best practices
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide seamless language support and contribute to the overall success of the company

What we're looking for

  1. Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to translate between the two languages with a high degree of accuracy
  2. Good written and oral communication skills in both languages
  3. Good knowledge of Mandarin and Indonesian culture, customs, and business practices
  4. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in translation, linguistics, or a related field
  5. Proficiency in using translation software and other relevant tools
  6. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
