Agency Superintendent

Job Description:

1. Manage day-to-day operations of the shipping agency, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
2. Supervise and coordinate with the boarding officers and agent onboard to streamline workflows, resolve operational issues, and improve overall service delivery.
3. Oversee the coordination of shipments and ensure adherence to shipping schedules, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
4. Oversee the management and reconciliation of the EPDA, ensuring accurate estimation, disbursement, and timely payments of port-related costs (e.g., port fees, terminal handling charges, and other associated costs).
5. Ensure the EPDA is managed effectively to avoid discrepancies and maintain transparency in disbursements.
6. Regularly review and update EPDA estimates, ensuring they are aligned with current market conditions and actual port charges.
7. Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports to assess the agency's financial health.
8. Identify areas for cost reduction, process improvements, and revenue growth while maintaining high service standards.
9. Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and operational efficiency.
10. Address any customer complaints or concerns regarding shipping operations and work to resolve issues promptly.
11. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
12. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding shipping, import/export, and port operations.
13. Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies aimed at expanding the agency's market share, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service offerings.
14. Identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and ways to grow the agency's presence in existing and new markets.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Shipping Management, or a related field (master's degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the shipping agency, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role in shipping agency company.
• Strong knowledge of shipping operations, port regulations, and EPDA best practices.
